Not a concierge in sight.

While we do have a few hotels in the mix, mostly we’ll be in small flats, and even a few hostels. In fact, I’m writing this in a hostel right now, and it’s pretty great. Our accommodation choices were made using a complex, highly scientific algorithm of location, cost, length of stay, language/cultural constraints, and pretty much just whatever the heck we were feeling at the time we had to make the decision. Srsly though, we don’t really love hotels, and much prefer to cook our own meals, spread out, and live as much like locals as we can. Our default tends toward Airbnb and Booking.com, and our travel agents have been invaluable in helping us narrow our choices to the best options in our price range.
