Two delightful weeks at the southern tip of the continent. Populated galleries in red, the rest coming soon.
Our 800-odd kilometer road trip along the Garden Route, justly famous for its natural beauty. We spent a lot of time soaking up the great outdoors there, with stops for hiking (Robberg Peninsula, Nature’s Valley, where the granola bar jokes were many), some epic beach frolicking, canyoning (which they call kloufing in Afrikaans), bunjee jumping (which they spell “bungy,” and I spell “hell, no”).
Capetown, where we explored Table Mountain, mostly by braille, met the Boulders Beach penguins, and toured Langa Township, which was amazing and heartbreaking and so thought provoking it’s followed me around ever since.
